Dance Lessons

We are presently offering dance lessons on the Charleston, The East Coast Swing/Jitterbug and The Lindy Hop.

Our Instructors

Mike Guzzo and Corena Bristow, who teach across eastern NC and southern VA, are based in Greenville, NC. Their dancing has taken them to a variety of national events, including the Virginia Beach Lindy Exchange, the DC Lindy Exchange, the Dirt Cheap Blues Exchange as well as a variety of smaller events throughout North Carolina and Virginia. The have performed at a variety of places around the region, including Cypress Glenn and the City Bistro as well as competing in The Mid-Atlantic Challenge hosted in Virginia Beach, VA. Mike & Corena have been featured in the Daily Reflector and The Mixer promoting dancing at several local events

The Dances

East Coast Swing/Jitterbug
This dance came about in the 1940s, and is a great way for people wanting to get their feet wet with swing dancing.  This class will cover the basics of swing plus teach you tons of fun moves.

The Charleston
The popular 1920's dance that everyone has heard of.  We will teach you the original, plus several new variants common today.

The Lindy Hop
The dance that really started the social swing dance revolution both in the early 1930s and again in the mid-1990s.  We will cover the basics up through some great moves to wow your friends and family.
