Placement Tests

If you are a new student, you will probably need to take the placement test. This is a test that has a math section and an English section. It is not a pass or fail test; it just determines where you will start your coursework at PCC.  We offer a variety of classes to meet the needs of every student who enrolls. It is important that each student begins coursework where they will be most successful. The placement test can help us to determine which class will best meet your needs.

It is important to take this test very seriously and to do your best. Your starting point will affect your graduation date, so take some time to explore the information about the placement test by clicking the link to the left.

Tests Offered by Placement Testing

We offer the Accuplacer, CLEP, Language Placement Tests, the ASSET and the Compass tests in placement testing. If you are taking one of the other tests we offer, please visit the appropriate link to learn more about it.
