How to Find Articles in
Journal of Marriage and Family

You will access journal articles from Journal of Marriage and Family by using a Library database called ProQuest Sociology.

How to Access the ProQuest Sociology Database

This database requires a username and password in order to access it from off campus. There are several ways that you can GET THE DATABASE PASSWORDS.

Click the following link to open the database in a new window:


OPTION 1:
Bring up a list of EVERY AVAILABLE ARTICLE from Journal of Marriage and Family.

In the search box, type the following EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS HERE:

pub.exact(“journal of marriage and family”)

YOU MUST TYPE THIS EXACTLY AS SHOWN—WATCH YOUR SPACING, QUOTATION MARKS, AND PUNCTUATION.

Click on the search icon (it looks like a magnifying glass) or hit the Enter key.

Type the search phrase and click search.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A listing of over 3000 articles should come up; these are all the full-text Journal of Marriage and Family articles contained in this database (most recent ones should appear first).

DO NOT click on the “Suggested subjects” toward the top of the page—this will take you out of Journal of Marriage and Family.

OPTION 2:
Bring up a list of AVAILABLE ARTICLES ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC from Journal of Marriage and Family.

In the search box, type the following EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS HERE:

YOU MUST TYPE THIS EXACTLY AS SHOWN—WATCH YOUR SPACING, QUOTATION MARKS, AND PUNCTUATION.

Before you click the search icon or hit the Enter key, you can add topic words to your search by typing the word "and" as shown below.

MAKE SURE THE FIRST PART IS EXACTLY AS SHOWN—WATCH SPACING, QUOTATION MARKS, PUNCTUATION.
