Mission Statement

The mission of the Health Information Technology Program is to provide students, through instruction and professional practice experiences, a diverse skill set in the management and utilization of hybrid and electronic health records (EHR) consistent with the medical, administrative, coding/reimbursement, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the healthcare delivery system.

Graduate Outcomes

The HIT Program will produce competent entry level HIT professionals in accordance with the current CAHIIM curriculum requirements.

Goal: 90% of graduates eligible to write the national certification exam, RHIT, will pass on the first attempt.

Result: 84% of the graduates who took the exam passed on the first attempt for this reporting period.
