Online Program
The Health Information Technology Associate Degree and Diploma Programs are offered totally online with the exception of the science courses (which are not offered online at PCC) and the Professional Practice Experience courses (clinicals), which are made available in the student's region through a joint effort facilitated by the student and the HIT faculty.
The HIT Online Programs have been developed to answer the need of individuals who would like to obtain their HIT education but cannot attend a traditional classroom program. Through independent study and with directions and instructions from our faculty, the student completes the courses as if they were attending classes on campus. While meeting general deadlines, the students in the HIT Internet programs complete course requirements...with 24/7 availability of course materials.
Students entering the HIT program will be able to pursue their degree at a pace that is comfortable for their needs; although, it is suggested that the entire curriculum be completed within a four-year period.
