Visiting Students Registration Process Summer 2009

Pitt Community College (PCC) welcomes visiting students to our campus. Students currently enrolled in another college may take a course at PCC to transfer to their home college.

Here's how:

  1. If you have not attended Pitt Community College (PCC) within the past 2 years, complete an admissions application.
    • Access the online application from our website at www.pittcc.edu
    • Choose "Special Credit" as your program of study on the application. This indicates that you are a visiting student and not pursuing a certificate, diploma or degree at PCC
  2. Request that official transcripts from your college or university be sent to the Admissions & Records office at PCC. This is necessary because many of our courses have prerequisites and we need your official transcripts in order to verify that you've completed all required coursework.
    • Your official high school transcripts are not necessary unless you plan to complete a certificate, diploma or degree from PCC
  3. If you will need financial aid for the summer term, you must add PCC's school code to your 2008-09 FAFSA in order for us to receive your Student Aid Report (SAR)
    • Note that any financial aid you are receiving at your home institution does not automatically transfer to PCC. You must complete our financial aid process in order to apply for summer aid.
    • PCC's school code is 004062
  4. Beginning on April 22 (the first day for new students) register for summer classes online by logging into your Campus Cruiser account and going to the PCC Services Tab. Your Campus Cruiser account will be active within 24 hours of us processing your admissions application.
    • To learn how to log in to Campus Cruiser, Click the "Need More Info" link in the CampusCruiser login box
  5. Pay your tuition & fees at the Cashier's office in the Goess Student Center. You may also pay your bill by phone by calling (252) 493-7234.
    • If you register on or before April 23 you must pay your bill by 5pm on May 1st or your schedule will be purged from our system.
    • If you register between May 4 - May 21 payment is due by 7pm on May 21st.
