Forklift Rodeo Safety Competition

Each year in the fall, PCC's Business & Industry Division holds a Forklift Rodeo Safety Competition to highlight safety in the workplace and generate awareness of the safety training courses PCC has to offer. Drivers from local companies are tested on their knowledge through a forklift theory test and a forklift pre-use safety inspection. The driving portion of the event features three challenging courses that test each competitor's operating skills and safety practices.

Ann's House of Nuts in Martin County won the inaugural competition in 2013, while Greenville's Metallix Refining, Inc. claimed first place in 2014 and 2015. The rodeo is open to all local companies that wish to enter. Each team can have as many as three drivers participate. Companies interested in competing can call (252) 493-7266 for more information.
