I’ve heard from more than one person that their initial reaction the first time they open a spreadsheet program is one of bewilderment. As one person said, “There were just these little boxes on the screen, and I couldn’t get it (the program) to do anything”.

To be fair, there are plenty of buttons, toolbars, and menus on a spreadsheet screen along with those little boxes, but even these may not be much help if you don’t know what a spreadsheet is capable of doing and how it is supposed to work. This course is designed for the beginner. The student will learn the basics of creating simple formulas, formatting a worksheet, building a chart, and more. Cost: FREE
