Message from the Director
Welcome to Healthcare Programs in the Continuing Education and Community Development Division at Pitt Community College. Pitt Community College Health Care Division plays an active role in the Continuing Education of the citizens of Pitt County and surrounding areas desiring to prepare themselves for employment in the ever-evolving and the growing needs of the healthcare field.
Continuing Education Healthcare programs provide courses for those who need to train, retrain, and update themselves in a health care field or professional area. The continuing education programs offered by our division are of the highest quality both in classroom/lab and clinical instruction.
We offer Command Spanish Classes for Healthcare workers seeking to speak and understand small amounts of general and basic Spanish found in healthcare interchanges. These Spanish classes can be specific for the Physician's Office, the hospital, long-term care facility, home health, pharmacy, EMT-Paramedic and healthcare workers.
We are proud of our Healthcare Continuing Education Programs and encourage students who have a strong desire to "help people" and are "team players" to apply to become a healthcare worker in as little as one semester. It's up to you to decide how far you want to go. We're here to guide you through.
