FEMA GRANT 28" TRAFFIC CONE VIDEO INFORMATION
The new Highway Incident Safety Video presented by NCDOT and many emergency responder agencies through a FEMA grant is now available as a streaming video online! Please see the link below. The grant incorporates an incentive to fire departments of 5 MUTCD approved 28" cones per 6-wheeled fire truck for having FD personnel simply watch the training video. To obtain the cones, simply go to the second link below and print off the form and have the Chief to fill it out. I understand that the Notary part of the form is NOT required. If you'd like your own copy of the video, you should be able to obtain one through your local community college Continuing Education Coordinator for Emergency Services.
The traffic cones incentive is only available to fire departments, and is for 5 cones per truck (includes engines, tankers, even 6 wheeled brush trucks... any fire truck w/ 6 wheels).
Click here for the video on the NC Office of State Fire Marshall's website.
