Public Safety Training
Welcome to the Public Safety Training Division here at Pitt Community College. Public Safety Training was created to help you, the student, achieve your lifelong goals within your chosen profession. Public Safety Training at PCC is comprised of Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Emergency Management and Law Enforcement Training. We offer a large selection of basic and advance courses in each discipline.
To show our commitment, we have assembled an awesome staff comprised of administrative assistants, coordinators and instructors. We have dedicated classrooms, computer labs and 8000 square foot training facility. We are constantly updating our equipment to include: a driving simulator, firearm simulator, professional mats, weight training, emergency vehicles and a jail cell. The Public Safety Training is currently developing a 124 acre site that already houses two firing ranges, two additional classrooms and two range towers. In the future, we plan to construct a driving pad, burn towers, excavations, underwater rescue and other training facilities for all Public Safety disciplines.
