Online Courses: Law Enforcement, Detention Officers and Telecommunicators

2009 Mandatory Online In-Service Training

The 2009 mandatory In-service training can be obtained online.  

First time students at PCC who do not have a Colleague ID# must fill out the Student Data Form [.pdf]. 

This form must be returned to Pitt Community College before you can register for class.

Online classes can be self enrolled and registered for in one easy step. Find your course, click on it to enroll and register. The instructor will email you an entry code to gain access. You will establish your own user ID and password during your first login to MOODLE. 

To complete the course the student must complete the following.

  1. Complete the Pretest/Survey
  2. Read and comprehend the text, videos and other aids used by the instructor.
  3. Participate in the online forum for the course.
  4. Complete the test with a score of 70% or above.

Once you take and submit the test, the grade will be automatically sent to the gradebook of the instructor. A 70% will be required to achieve a passing score on the test. Classes end at the end of the semester. All students completing the training can print their own certificate when all assignments are complete and graded.
