Distance Learning Orientation

New internet students must complete either the online student orientation or attend an on-site session.

Online Orientation

To begin the Online Orientation (Click Here).

The orientation will help you to determine if you have the technical skills needed to succeed in an online course. Internet courses will be more difficult than comparable traditional courses taught on campus if you do not have the skills needed to succeed.

To be successful in your online class, you must be able to:

Fall 2010 On-site Internet Student Orientation Schedule:

All orientation sessions will meet in Everett 228

Moodle Orientation Schedule
August 18:  11:00 AM, 2:00 PM or 6:00 PM
August 19:  10:00 AM or 2:00 PM
August 20:  10:00 AM
August 23:  10:00 AM, 2:00 PM or 6:00 PM

Blackboard Orientation Schedule
August 18:  9:00 AM
August 19:  6:00 PM
August 20:  2:00 PM

Note: This orientation is optional, but it is highly recommended for students who are taking an online course for the first time.

There is no need to sign up or register for this 1 hour session. Just show up on-time prepared to take notes.
