'Best of the Best' Prepare Sellers for Career
Terry Sellers is a 1994 PCC Radiologic Technology graduate and a 1995 graduate of the college’s Medical Sonography program. She is a sonographer with an outpatient radiology group based in Raleigh.
Having learned the value of service in the U.S. Army, Sellers devotes much of her time away from work serving God and the local community through various church and youth organizations. She encourages others by sharing how she has overcome her own struggles in life.
On March 30, 2010, Sellers released her first book, a Christian-themed work titled, “Songs of My Soul.”
Looking back, Sellers credits PCC with helping her choose a career path and achieve success.
“PCC had many resources to help me, such as the interest tests to help guide my career choice and the help/information on writing resumes, cover letters, etc., upon graduating,” Sellers said. “I actually still have the guide that I received in that class and I refer to it at times.”
Sellers says PCC had the “best of the best” instructors and staff to prepare students for graduation and future employment.
“As students, we were exposed to learning opportunities on so many different levels that we couldn't receive just anywhere,” she said. “This gave us the advantage and confidence to be ahead of the game upon graduation.”
Sellers says she would tell new PCC students that their choice to attend Pitt was a “commanding step forward” and a decision they can be proud to have made.
“PCC is a great place to learn but also to grow socially through the many fun events they plan throughout each year,” she said.
A native of Whiteville, Sellers currently resides in Morrisville.
