Every year since 2001, PCC has held a program to celebrate the achievements of women. The event is held each March in conjunction with the nation's observance of Women's History Month.

As part of the college's celebration of women's history, the school recognizes a female employee with the "Woman of Substance Award" for outstanding campus and community involvement, attitude of service, commitment and caring, and willingness to 'go the extra mile.'

This year's Women's History Month program at PCC will take place March 4 and will feature a presentation by High Point's Kelly Swanson, an award-winning storyteller, author, comedian and motivational speaker who uses comedy, stories, and a wacky cast of southern characters to make people laugh, remind them what's important, show them they are valued, help them see beyond the obstacles in their workplace, and teach them how to be unforgettable in business.
