Every year since 2001, PCC has held a program to celebrate the achievements of women. The event is held each March in conjunction with the nation's observance of Women's History Month.
The national theme for the 2016 Women's History Month celebration is "Working to Form a More Perfect Union: Honoring Women in Public Service and Government."
As part of the college's celebration of women's history, the school recognizes a female employee with the "Woman of Substance Award" for outstanding campus and community involvement, attitude of service, commitment and caring, and willingness to 'go the extra mile.' PCC will announce the winner of the 2016 Woman of Substance Award following the panel discussion.
