STAR Awards - Popular Questions/Answers

  1. Self-Nominations are not acceptable for the Individual Division
    • Students can request a friend/fellow member/their organization to nominate them
    • Outstanding Student Employee: nominated by an office/department on campus

  2. Allowed to include nominee's name in nomination/recommendation letter
    • No writing in 3rd person
    • Recommendation letters MUST be submitted electronically on the nomination site. They will not be accepted in any other form.

  3. Time frame to consider programs/projects for STAR Awards
    • Events that occurred between March 1, 2016- March 1, 2017

  4. Can organizations submit multiple nominations for same category?
    • Yes! ONLY if nominations represent different events. In this category, judging is based on the quality of event(s) not organization
