Program Purpose
The Pitt Community College Preschool Laboratory is designed to provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for children between the ages of birth to five years. Adults support children's interests while facilitating learning in a planned environment of play activities. Not only does the Preschool Lab provide a service to parents and their children, but it also serves as an observation and internship laboratory for students in the Early Childhood Education Department. The Preschool's purpose is to provide quality child care in a developmentally appropriate curriculum which encourages and enhances the growth and developmental potential of each child.
