Course Options
For students who want/need to receive academic credit for an Education Abroad Program, there are several options based upon the program they choose.
Guided Study Tours
Students participating in guided study tours typically have two options:
- Sign up for HUM 180 course taught by the program leader. . . complete course description available here
- Have instructor in existing course develop assignments that directly relate to the Education Aboard experience.
NOTE: Option 2 is done at the discretion of the instructor. Written documentation must be provided by the instructor on all assignments related to the Education Abroad experience and what percentage of the student's final grade the assignments will make up.
Service Learning Programs
- Sign up for HUM 180 course taught by the program leader.
- Sign up for specific course taught by the program leader.
- Have instructor in the student's major develop coursework that directly relates to the program of study.
NOTE: Option 3 is done at the discretion of the instructor. Written documentation must be provided by the instructor on all assignments related to the Education Abroad experience and what percentage of the student's final grade the assignments will make up.
