PCC ABROAD TOUR 2009 - Ireland

Is kissing the Blarney Stone on your list of things you must do before you die? Or have you wanted to sit in a pub and watch REAL Irish dancers dance a jig? Well then, you’re in luck!

You are invited to participate in PCC Abroad 2009 – Ireland! This 12-day tour will depart June 3, 2009, and visit Dublin, Kilkenny, Cork, Blarney, County Kerry and its Ring of Kerry, Killarney, Shannon, Galway, Belfast, Derry, and County Donegal.

You will have the opportunity to stroll through Dublin, divided by the River Liffey, to visit the 800-year-old St. Patrick’s Cathedral, view the illuminated 8th-century Book of Kells at Trinity College, and see where writers such as Joyce, Beckett, and Yeats lived.

You will visit the National Stud Farm, where world-class race horses are bred and trained; Blarney Castle and Woolen Mills; Queenstown Story Museum, where exhibits explain the Irish emigration of the last century and a half; the Bog Village; Bunratty Castle; the Cliffs of Moher; the Burren; and the seat of the High Kings of Ireland in Dublin.

You will have opportunities to enjoy an evening in an Irish pub, authentic Cornish pasties and other Irish meals, a great cream tea, a drive around the magnificent ocean and lake views of the Iveragh Peninsula (also known as the Ring of Kerry), guided sightseeing in each city, and sheep and shopping everywhere.
