Counseling Services
Pitt Community College offers a variety of counseling services for students including academic, career, and personal counseling. Services are available at no charge to every student from pre-enrollment through graduation.

Counseling Services will:
- Assist students in making realistic decisions as they prepare to enter Pitt Community College
- Discuss important steps for admission and success at PCC
- Interpret placement test results
- Make course recommendations and advise students until they choose a program of study and are referred to an Academic Advisor.
Career Information on Programs Offered at PCC - Help students understand the kinds of preparation necessary for various occupational or professional goals
- Conduct workshops in admissions, career/educational planning, decision making, and personal development.
Students are requested to schedule an appointment for counseling sessions but may be seen on a walk-in basis. Counselors are available during regular operating hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Craig Goess Student Center.
