Men's Resource Center
Current Happenings!
2010-2011 Speaker Series...details
The Men’s Resource Center is designed to provide gender specific support services that enhance the academic and personal success of men. Services offered include information, advocacy and support by educating the PCC community about health issues, academic opportunities available, and safety concerns for men. They also offer assistance to campus groups in developing programs towards these initiatives.
Mentoring roundtables, open forums, and lecture series are held to develop advantageous connections and provide a positive environment for men to speak on current and emerging issues. Focused tutorial sessions are held to address learning styles and to encourage men to use tutorial and other academic support services to increase academic success. Economic and career counseling is also addressed to help set goals and develop plans to gain successful employment.
Events are posted on the PCC website, CampusCruiser, and fliers are distributed across campus. Special programs sponsored by the Men’s Resource Center have included “Sexual Transmitted Diseases – Prevention & Treatment”, How Can JobLink Help You?”, and “Legal Aspect of Child Support/Surviving the System.”
