LaTonya M. Evans has served as the Pitt Community College TRIO Director since 2005, but she has been a part of the TRIO community for 13 years. Ms. Evans has a very serious commitment to higher education and her desire is to see all students regardless of race, socioeconomic status, age or gender reach their educational endeavors. She leads an extraordinary team of professionals dedicated to serving the at risk student population with her motto: “We are here to serve you.”

Kim Waters has been a member of the Pitt CC TRIO Staff since August 2008. As a counselor, Ms. Waters has the opportunity to interact with TRIO students on a daily basis. She feels that if students are given adequate support and resources, they can achieve their academic and personal goals. Ms. Waters takes great pride in assisting students in reaching their academic milestones at PCC.

Tabitha Miller has been with the TRiO SSS program for 1 year. She enjoys her work with the students in the TRiO program because she feels she is making a difference on campus and in the lives of the students. She encourages everyone to seek out and make use of all the available services PCC offers its student population.

 

Lyudmila Galeyeva

Lyudmila Galeyeva has served the Pitt Community College students for over five years. As the Math and Science Academic Specialist and Tutor, she is experienced in tutoring and teaching all levels of math. Through her work with students, she has learned what kind of math problems students tend to have and how to help them in a concise and clear manner. Ms. Galeyeva strives to help students overcome math anxiety so that students can achieve success.

 

Jamelle Moore

Jamelle G. Moore has served as the Pitt Community College TRIO Administrative Assistant/Data Specialist since December 2006. Mrs. Moore is a PCC alumnus and is currently a student at East Carolina University where she will be obtaining her BSBA degree in Business Administration-Management. She also serves as one of the advisors of PCC’s Gospel Choir Elements of Praise. Mrs. Moore lives her motto: “Always be willing to help those in need.”
