To turn off Simple File Sharing in Windows XP:

Open "Windows Explorer", and then choose "Tools" > "Folder Options" to open the "Folder Options" dialog box.
Select the "View" tab.
Scroll down and deselect the "Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended)" check box. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
