Alumni Board of Directors Selects Officers
WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Alumni Association Board of Directors has chosen officers to lead the group in its efforts to establish a strong alumni base.
According to PCC Alumni Relations Director Ashley Smith, Christopher Sutton, a 1998 Business Administration: Marketing and Retailing graduate, was selected as the board’s chairman. Sutton, who also completed basic law enforcement training at Pitt, is currently employed by the East Carolina University Police Department.
Smith said Debra Dennis, a general operations manager with CopyPro, was selected as the board’s vice chairman. Electrical/Electronics Technology Department Chair Joe Brittain was chosen to serve as secretary, she said, adding that Terri Parker-Eakes, Winterville’s interim town manager, was selected as treasurer.
PCC’s 20-member alumni board met for the first time in February and plans to assemble quarterly to discuss and coordinate the college’s upcoming alumni programming.
First started as the Century Club and later an alumni task force, the PCC Alumni Association offers numerous professional development opportunities, career services and special benefits to its members throughout the year.
