WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College will host “Information Night” on April 7 for Pitt County High School seniors and all prospective students interested in starting classes at the college this fall.
The program, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., will take place in the Craig F. Goess Student Center multipurpose room. Organizers say the focus will be on the PCC admissions process, placement testing and financial aid.
Stations will be set up around the multipurpose room to provide attendees with details on each of Pitt’s five academic divisions and a variety of student services that are available, including those for students with disabilities and career services.
Financial aid assistance will get an earlier start than the rest of the program and will be available in Goess 120. PCC counselors will be on hand from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. to help students complete financial aid applications.
In order to complete the applications, individuals must bring with them their 2013 tax returns as well as their parents’ tax returns. Prospective students and their parents must also obtain personal identification numbers (PIN) from the U.S. Department of Education website (www.pin.ed.gov) at least three days prior to completing the financial aid application forms.
