Marguerite StephensWINTERVILLE—During its annual conference in March, the N.C. Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association (N4CSGA) presented the Karen Yerby Award to Pitt Community College’s Marguerite Stephens.

Stephens, a Greenville resident who serves as PCC’s student activities coordinator/recruiter, was given the honor in recognition of her dedication to student leadership and efforts to help N4CSGA reach new heights. The award, which is named for a longtime N4CSGA supporter, is selected by the N4CSGA Executive Board.

In 22 years at PCC, Stephens has utilized her wit and enthusiasm to train countless student leaders while encouraging them to make connections with their counterparts across the state through N4CSGA to ensure student issues are addressed.

Highly respected by her peers, Stephens has also mentored many new SGA advisors who have gone on to impact their campuses positively.
