Foundation Gearing up for Golf Ball Drop

Golf balls will pour onto the field at Minges-Overton Baseball Complex this fall to raise money that will support student scholarships and a variety of educational activities at PCC.

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Foundation will hold the 2nd Annual Drivin' for Dreams Golf Ball Drop this fall to raise money for student scholarships and educational activities at the college.

For the next two months, the organization will sell chances to participate in the fundraiser. The cost is $5 for one ball or $10 for three.

On Sept. 16, the Foundation will drop hundreds of numbered golf balls from a helicopter onto the field at PCC’s Minges-Overton Baseball Complex. The individual whose golf ball lands in the cup below (or ends up closest to it) wins a $500-grand prize.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with food and entertainment.
