PCC and Farmville's Natural Blend Partnering to Conduct Pre-Hire Program on Sept. 22

By Rob Goldberg Jr.
PCC Media Relations Director

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College is partnering with Farmville’s Natural Blend Vegetable Dehydration manufacturing plant this month to conduct a pre-hire training program.

The program, which begins Sept. 22, will entail 20 hours of free training that consists of two assessments, an introduction to food safety class, and a 10-hour OSHA workplace safety course. Those who successfully complete the pre-hire program will receive a job interview with Natural Blend, which dehydrates vegetables for use as ingredients in various food products.

To be eligible for the training, individuals must have a Career Readiness Certificate and be willing to commit to 20 hours of training. Those who have previously attended a Natural Blend pre-hire program are not eligible.

Seating for this month’s training, which will take place at the PCC Greenville Center on Memorial Drive, is limited.

To register or for more information, contact the college’s Continuing Education Division at (252) 493-7388.
