Alumni Association Selling Custom Bricks That Will Surround Clock Tower on Campus

The PCC Alumni Association is selling customized bricks that will form a patio surrounding a clock tower similar to this one slated to be constructed on the PCC main campus next year.WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Alumni Association is providing an avenue for people in the community to honor friends and family members by purchasing a custom brick in the patio and gardens surrounding the college’s future clock tower.

The PCC Foundation is funding construction of a clock tower on the college’s main campus, in front of the Ed and Joan Warren Building through a generous gift from the Warren Estate.

A proposed patio and garden area for students will surround the tower. Each patio brick will be available for purchase, having enough space for three lines (20 characters each), of which names or words of encouragement can be engraved. The new campus focal point will represent the college’s strength and continued growth as a vital educational institution in the community.

Bricks are available for a $75-donation, or two bricks for a $100-donation. Donations also come with a free, one-year membership to the PCC Alumni Association.

Construction of the clock tower is scheduled to be completed in early spring of 2015.

Those wishing to make donations to reserve bricks should call (252) 493-7287.
