PCC Now Accepting Job Applications Online

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College has launched a new software system to improve the hiring process for jobseekers and personnel managers.

According to PCC Human Resources (HR) Director Mike Shreves, the college has partnered with NEOGOV—the nation’s largest cloud software for HR in government and education. The technology allows HR and department managers access to online records, which expedites hiring and provides greater accountability when selecting new employees.

Shreves says jobseekers will now be able to quickly apply online to multiple open positions via PCC’s official website (www.pittcc.edu). He says interested candidates can apply for current vacancies and future openings.

Shreves credited HR assistants Mistie Butler and Kay Lee and HR Generalist Amanda Wells with implementing the online application system at PCC.

“My team worked very hard to bring this online application system to fruition,” he said. “I’m confident this will enhance and improve our overall hiring processes and serve to broaden and further diversify our applicant pool.”

Shreves says the new software streamlines the job search and application process for jobseekers. Instead of applying for multiple job openings one at a time, he says candidates can submit multiple applications electronically at once.

The new system also allows hiring managers to more effectively create minimum qualifications to sort through a pool of applicants. With the new system, administrative work and technical maintenance costs are reduced, as the workload is handled by the NEOGOV system.

“We look forward to saving more time and money for personnel managers and make job searches easier for everyone,” NEOGOV CEO Damir Davidovic said.

With the implementation of the new software system, PCC joins more than 1,000 organizations across the nation that have moved into cutting-edge online technology for personnel management.
