CIT to Hold ‘Advanced Manufacturing Week’ Open House for Community on April 14

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Construction and Industrial Technology (CIT) Division will open its doors to the public next month, during the Advanced Manufacturing and Advanced Technologies Open House.

CIT Dean Mark Faithful says the event will take place April 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and feature program tours and various demonstrations. He says faculty will be available to talk about educational offerings and industry representatives will be on hand to discuss career options.

Faithful says the open house is part of “Advanced Manufacturing Week,” which will take place statewide April 12-18.

The locations and programs to be featured during next month’s open house at PCC are as follows:

Engineering, Industrial Management, Industrial Systems and Mechanical Engineering
First held in 2013, “Advanced Manufacturing Week” is the result of educators, manufacturers and community leaders working together to ensure a future pipeline of skilled workers for advanced manufacturing industries in North Carolina. The purpose is to raise awareness of advanced manufacturing occupations, especially for students who are in the process of choosing their future careers.
