Annual MRC Clothing Drive Ends on April 16

Donated Items to be Made Available to Students April 21 in Goess Student Center

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Men’s Resource Center’s (MRC) third annual “Best Foot Forward Professional Clothing Drive” ends April 16 at 4 p.m.

The drive, which began March 30, is part of MRC’s effort to assist PCC male students with their search for employment. Members of the community have been asked to consider donating gently used professional male clothing (including suits, collared shirts, polos, sweaters, khaki pants, dress shoes and pants, and ties) that students can wear to interviews with potential employers.

Donations can be dropped off at a pair of locations on the PCC campus—Trailer 19 and Goess 131—between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Those making donations will have the opportunity to fill out gift acceptance forms for tax deduction purposes.

Donated items will be made available to students April 21, when the “Best Foot Forward Clothing Store” is set up in the Walter and Marie Williams Faculty and Staff Dining Room inside the Craig F. Goess Student Center.

For more details, contact Kendrick Price, PCC Weekend and Evening College Coordinator and an MRC advisor, at (252) 493-7627.
