Mozingo Elected to Board Position with CARE

Billy MozingoWINTERVILLE—Billy Mozingo, department chair of the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (HVACR) program at Pitt Community College, has been elected to a board position with the Council for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Educators (CARE).

During the 20th Annual HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals, which took place March 9-11 in Maryland, Mozingo was chosen to serve as CARE’s Vice President of Public Post-Secondary Schools. He assumed his board duties April 3.

A non-profit organization, CARE was formed in 1997 to give the nation’s HVACR instructors a way to communicate throughout the year.

“We share new ideas, teaching methods and keep up with new innovations within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry,” Mozingo said, adding that he has been a CARE member for 14 years and has attended its annual conference in each of the past 15 years.

A Greenville resident, Mozingo has worked at PCC for the past 18 years. In 2005, he was named “Best Instructor of the Year” by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute and “Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration News.”
