Architectural Tech. Taking Camp Applications

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Architectural Technology Department is now accepting applications for the “Outside the Box: An Architectural Exploration Camp” that will take place on campus next month.

According to PCC Architectural Technology Instructor Maurey Verzier, the camp is free and open to high school students age 16 and older as well as incoming college freshman interested in the field of architecture. She said it will take place June 22-26 and include instruction on sketching, views and perspectives, rendering, design process, presentations and the critique process.

“Students will work both individually and in teams to create and present a final build project to be showcased on the last day of camp,” Verzier said, adding that space in the weeklong program is limited.

Those wishing to attend the camp must visit www.otbcamp.com to download and complete an application, which must be returned by June 13. Completed forms can be faxed to (252) 321-4232 or mailed to the following address: Pitt Community College, ATTN: Maurey Verzier (ABW 233), P.O. Drawer 7007, Winterville, N.C. 27835-7007.
