Real Estate Program Honored Once Again

PCC Real Estate Instructor James Weese and PCC Coordinator for Entrepreneurial Education Gail Nichols display the certificates of achievement recognizing the success of the college's Real Estate program with regard to student performance on the N.C. Real Estate License Examination.

WINTERVILLE—For the second year in a row, Pitt Community College’s Real Estate program has been awarded for outstanding student performance on the N.C. Real Estate License Examination.

In order to receive an award for license examination performance, a college must have a record of 75 percent or higher. PCC’s record was 84.5 percent for the 2014-2015 academic year.

PCC Program Coordinator Gail Nichols credits instructor Jim Weese for much of the success, adding that the college’s Real Estate program has a 100 percent passing rate.

“Without Jim’s enthusiasm and hard work, our program would not be where it is today,” Nichols said. “His passion and professionalism make for a successful program.”

The overall performance for all first-time real estate license examination candidates for all North Carolina institutions was 61 percent.
