PCC Organizing ‘One-Stop Shop’ for Students Considering Return to PCC Campus This Fall

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Recruitment Office is organizing an open house/resource fair next month intended to serve as a ‘one-stop shop’ for nontraditional students considering a return to higher education.

The “Adult College Expo” is scheduled to take place in the Craig F. Goess Student Center multipurpose room on June 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

According to Joanne T. Ceres, PCC Dean of Student Services & Enrollment Management, representatives from the college’s many curriculum and continuing education programs and services will be on hand to discuss their areas of expertise. She said attendees will have the opportunity to visit other parts of campus, where they may engage in hands-on demonstrations and speak directly with faculty and staff from those areas.

“We’re expecting a great turnout by the community and will have representation from as many of our departments as possible for our visitors to interact with and gain the details they need to make a well-informed decision about enrolling in courses at PCC this fall,” Ceres said.
