Architectural Technology Camp Is June 20-24

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Architectural Technology Department is accepting applications for the “Outside the Box: An Architectural Exploration Camp” that will take place on campus this summer.

According to PCC Architectural Technology Instructor Maurey Verzier, the camp is free and open to any high school student age 16 and older as well as incoming college freshmen interested in the field of architecture. She said it will take place June 20-24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, and include instruction on sketching, perspectives, rendering, design process, presentations and the critique process.

“Students will work both individually and in teams to create and present a final build project to be showcased on the last day of camp,” Verzier said, adding that space in the program is limited to 16 students.
