PCC Farmville Center to Hold Open House during ‘A Taste of Farmville’ Next Month

WINTERVILLE—For the second year in a row, the Pitt Community College Farmville Center will participate in “A Taste of Farmville,” a community gathering that gives Farmville merchants and businesses a chance to thank customers for their patronage.

Scheduled for Dec. 1, “A Taste of Farmville” will feature Christmas shopping, music and light refreshments. It is scheduled to take place in the downtown area, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

During the event, the PCC Farmville Center will host an open house with tours, music and refreshments. Information will be available on a variety of PCC programs and services, including the college’s Business Division, Career Services Department, VISIONS Career Development and Scholarship Program, Evening and Weekend College courses, and Career and College Promise program.

“The Farmville Center is excited about participating in 'A Taste of Farmville’ again this year because we so enjoyed meeting more of the Farmville community last year,” said PCC Director of Off-Campus Programs Sara Singleton. “We hope members of the community will make plans to join us next month for cider, cupcakes and details about all of the exciting opportunities at the PCC Farmville Center or to sign up for one of our upcoming holiday-themed classes.”

Opened in January 2016, the PCC Farmville Center represents the college’s commitment to extending educational services throughout Pitt County. The center, which occupies the former Bank of America Building on Main Street, offers a wide range of credit and continuing education courses throughout the year.
