CAP Outcomes and Assessment

Pitt Community College identified an assessment plan to document the success of the initiative.  Assessment methods include graduation rates, course success, term to term retention, year to year retention, student feedback, and direct student learning outcomes.

Baselines were established for each measure prior to the start of the initiative. The goal of the assessment pre/post method is to have the ability to identify the effects of the initiative post implementation.

Outcomes for all measures are listed under their respective goal.

Goal 1: Increase access, knowledge, and application of career planning resources
Goal 2: Increase access to informed academic advising.

Outcomes are tracked starting in 2012 through 2017.  The CAP Leadership Teams reviews each assessment to help increase student learning.  In the case where the measure does not give a full explanation of the situation, additional research is conducted.  For additional information relating to the assessment of the CAP, please contact Andrew Walker (252) 493-7581, awalker@email.pittcc.edu
