The following documents must be received by PCC Admissions before your application will be considered:

Permanent Residents	a copy of green card or copy of I-94 . . . indicating permanent residence status
Refugees/Asylum	a letter or copy of I-94 . . . indicating refugee status
TN-visa	a copy of visa or I-94 . . . indicating TN status or copy of approval notice from INS
H-1B-visa	a copy of visa or I-94 . . . indicating H-1B status or copy of approval notice from INS
TC-visa	a copy of visa or I-94 . . . indicating TC status or copy of approval notice from INS
TD-visa	a copy of visa or I-94 . . . indicating TD status. NOTE: Canadian Passports are acceptable.

NOTE: The following residents are part of the compact of free association and are not required to carry a visa: Federated States of Micronesia: Kosrae, Ponape, Chuuk, Yap, Caroline Islands, Marshall Islands, and Palau. - back to top

Residency & Financial Aid
An international student present in the U.S. on a student visa (F) is considered a non-resident for the purpose of tuition payments. Length of stay, payment of taxes, or ownership of property, in themselves, do not qualify an international student for the status of legal resident or domicile. Neither federal nor state student financial aid is offered to an international student. Therefore, he/she is required to submit an official bank statement (in US dollars) certifying that the international student has sufficient funds to cover each year of expenses. - back to top

Housing
PCC has no dormitories or residence halls. All students must make their own housing arrangements off-campus. - back to top

The following documents are required for F-visas:
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) published and administered in most countries by the Educational Testing Service, www.ets.org/toefl. Students are required to have a minimum Internet Based Test (IBT) score of Reading 17, Listening 17, Speaking 16, and Writing 16. For the Computer Based Test (CPT), the minimum score is 173 and 500 on the written test. An international student whose country has English as the only official language is exempt from the TOEFL exam.
• An official copy of high school and college transcripts accompanied by a certified English translation. If transfer credit is desired, you must submit course descriptions.
• An official bank statement, notarized letter of support, or sponsor’s bank statement (in US Dollars) showing that financial ability to cover costs for your tuition, fees, books, and living expenses for one academic year. J-student visa holders are exempt from this requirement.
• Documentation of medical insurance.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
PCC does not offer special English proficiency curriculum classes, but students may enroll in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes offered through the Basic Skills Program in the Economic and Community Development Division. - back to top
